MTB Jump Coaching Course – Session 1
Master Flow Trails, Jumps & Berms with Confidence
This MTB jump coaching course is designed to help you ride man-made flow trails smoothly, confidently, and with control. You’ll develop the core techniques needed to handle tabletops, gap jumps, berms, and linked jump lines — building speed, flow, and consistency on red-graded trails and beyond.
What You’ll Learn
Pumping for Speed
Refine your pumping technique to generate more speed without pedalling, improve trail flow, and set yourself up correctly for jumps.
Absorbing, Squashing & Floating Jumps
Learn how to manage speed, grip, and stability by absorbing terrain and using squash and float techniques over jumps.
Learning to Jump
Build strong jumping foundations by developing correct movement patterns and managing momentum to clear jumps safely and efficiently.
Progressing Your Jump Skills
Advance to more complex and committing features, including gap jumps, hips, step-downs, and jumps in and out of berms.
Riding Berms with Speed
Develop cornering skills that allow you to carry more speed and control through berms while maintaining traction and flow.

Course Prerequisites
If you haven’t had MTB coaching recently, then you need to join Session 1 Jumping & Flow or Basecamp MTB Course.
To Join Session 1 Jumping & Flow you need to be competent riding red graded trails.
To join Session 2 Jumping & Flow, the following is required:
- Have received coaching on red or black-graded flow trails, including pumping, absorbing, and basic jump technique

Be able to pump and absorb terrain in a centred position, using a full range of movement

Be able to squash and float small tabletops as part of a jump line (a key step in learning to jump)
Suitable for adults and young riders aged 16+

Max group size is 6 riders
Minimum Numbers
If you would like to do this course please book on ASAP. If possible please select a date with a dot underneath it. If the course does not get sufficient bookings (2 riders), I may have to cancel the course. I’ll give you as much notice as possible, and offer a refund, transfer the booking or offer a credit off a 1-1 session.
