Farmer John’s Bikepark
Designed for 11-18 year olds, this course focuses on the key skills and techniques to ride manmade flow trails with jumps and berms.
If you can’t already clear bike length table top jumps, then please join the fundamentals & flow course!
Basic Jumping Skills

- Pumping: Learn how to pump to gain more speed on trails and master your jumping technique
- Soaking and squashing: Learn how to manage speed and grip
- Jumping: Build on the core movement skills of jumping, managing momentum to clear jumps
- Berms: Develop cornering skills to carry more speed through berms
Advanced jumping skills
- Riding faster on flow trails for downhill/enduro racing.
- Squashing, scrubbing, transferring on jumps.
- Jumping technique in/out of berms
- Linking berms/jumps together.
- Steezey flow riding. Tricks & style on flow trails.
Things to consider
The trails we will be riding are red or black graded trails, with the main features being jumps & berms. There may be non-rollable features such as gap jumps or drops on the trails, but these will only be included in the sessions for riders who can comfortably clear bigger rollable features
For 11-18 year olds.
What to bring to your coaching session
- A mountain bike in full working order
- Full face helmet and gloves
- Other protective clothing or equipment that you would normally use for a MTB ride. Knee pads are recommended.
- Flat pedals/shoes are required

Suitable clothing
Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions. This is not a continuous ride, so long sleeves, warm layers and a waterproof jacket are essential. I can carry your extra layers.

Minimum Booking Numbers
I need a minimum of 3 booked on this course to be able to run it. If I am unable to run the course for this reason I can offer a refund or a place on a different date.

Farmer John’s Bikepark Entry Requirements
Farmer John’s Bike Park is a privately owned venue, which im not affiliated to.
- There is an entry fee to the venue which isnt included in the cost of this sessions. This is £12 for non members or £2 to members.
- You also need your own full face helmet to ride there. There arent ones to hire.
- Parents/guardians need to complete a waiver on site when you sign your child into the venue.
